Kevin Durant’s decision to leave the Oklahoma City Thunder means heartbreak for fans and extra patrols of police.
On Wednesday, a police officer was parked out front of Durant’s Bricktown home after a fan put a “For Sale” sign with the word coward outside this house.
The fan posted the video online saying Durant has no heart.
Meanwhile, the former Thunder player’s off the court business deals in OKC are still in limbo.
The Hal Smith restaurant group has not said when or if KD’s in Bricktown will be re-branded.
Inside the team store at the Chesapeake Energy Arena, prices on Durant jerseys and shirts have been slashed in half.
Sonic hasn't said if it will renew its contract with Durant when it come up in the fall. The locally based chain does credit him with creating two signature slushes.
Meanwhile, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt also hasn't said if it will drop Durant after making him the OKC based company's first brand ambassador.
“I’m not sure the depression has sunk in yet,” said Thunder Fan Rouben Tourian.
Tourian is helping to getting Thunder gear for an August fundraiser benefiting Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
He told News 9, the Thunder usually provide a ball signed by the entire team for years.
This time, he received a Westbrook jersey.
“I’m not sure the depression has sunk in yet,” said Tourian about Durant’s departure.
