The Oklahoma City Thunder lost one small forward earlier this month with the departure of Kevin Durant, but it looks like they’ll be bringing back another wing player from their roster. Anthony Morrow’s 2016-17 salary was guaranteed on Saturday after he wasn’t waived before the midnight deadline.
Morrow will make $3,488,000 next season in the final year of his three-year contract. It was expected he’d be back in an OKC uniform, especially since the Thunder are in dire need of shooters out on the perimeter and there isn’t a plethora of options left in free agency.
Morrow averaged 5.6 points last season while playing 13.6 minutes per game. The Georgia Tech alum is a career 42.5 percent three-point shooter, but shot 38.7 percent last season in 68 games.
