A woman was threatened with a gun, and was beaten and shot Tuesday in a Dollar General in Midwest City.
Police are looking for the suspect and have released the 911 tape and surveillance footage of the armed robbery.
According to the footage, a man armed with a gun finds the clerk and forces her to the registers. She tries to do what he wants but can't. He looks around then grabs her.
From there things escalate.
He holds her at gunpoint, there's a struggle and another employee calls 911.
911 OPERATOR: Do you know if he's armed, sir?
CALLER: Yes, he's just shot a bullet.
OPERATOR: He is armed and shot.
CALLER: Oh my god, he just shot her. I think he just shot her.
OPERATOR: He just shot the, OK.
OPERATOR: Where is she shot?
CALLER: She's shot in the leg.
OPERATOR: In the leg, OK.
Just as quickly as he came in, the suspect leaves right out the front door with the gun still in hand.
Those in the store work to care for the clerk.
OPERATOR: Sir? OK, sir. Listen to me. I want someone to get a dry rag and give it to her and let her apply pressure to the gunshot.
CALLER: I'm doing that right now. I'm doing it.
First responders quickly make it on scene.
The clerk is rushed to the hospital but the suspect is gone.
