Police Pursuit Turns Deadly In Ellis County

A police pursuit turned deadly in Ellis County Friday evening. 

Police say 30-year-old Zachary Ramos, of Liberal, KS., was driving a suspected stolen car when Ellis County deputies and officers with Shattuck police started the pursuit.

According to the report, Ramos was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the vehicle, and was thrown from the car on Highway 283. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
