Waurika Police Officer Charged With Embezzlement, DUI

A Waurika Police Officer has been charged with felony embezzlement after a DUI incident in Jefferson County back in September.

On Tuesday charges were filed in Jefferson County against John Fletcher, 23, for Embezzlement and Driving Under the Influence.

The embezzlement charge stems from the DUI, on Sept. 5, in which Fletcher crashed a Waurika Police cruiser while off duty, allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

 So far Fletcher has not been arrested or booked into county jail. If convicted on the embezzlement charge, Fletcher could face up to five years in prison.
