Crews responded to an apartment fire Tuesday night in northwest Oklahoma City.
Once on scene, firefighters reported the fire on two floors of the RiverChase Apartments near Pennsylvania Avenue and Hefner Road. Officials reported heavy smoke and flames.
The fire started as a grease fire in one unit and quickly spread to the living area.
An adult woman and her adult son were in the home when the fire occurred and both were taken to a local hospital to be examined for possible smoke inhalation.
Officials rescued an adult and a child from the burning structure.
Fire and/or water damaged four units and smoke damaged at least four others, firefighters said.
