The Clinton police captain who was shot while conducting a traffic stop Thursday is recuperating at home, according to a statement from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Capt. Mike Murley was shot in both biceps when he pulled over a vehicle at 3rd Street and Hayes Avenue in Clinton.
According to the OSBI, the officer was searching for a passenger who had a warrant for his arrest when Alfonso Rios, 41, shot at Murley three times. Murley returned gunfire, but Rios was not hit.

Rios was arrested at the scene and booked into the Custer County jail.
Murley has worked in law enforcement for 25 years.
