Kathy’s Nutty Turtles
Ingredients:
- 1 Can whole cashews
- 1 Can Virginia peanuts
- 2 Cups whole almonds, roughly chopped
- 1 lb. 14 ounces Ghirardelli dark chocolate candy melts
- 2 Cups milk chocolate chips
- Caramel candies, cut in half
- Mini baking cups
Directions:
- Place all of the nuts in a slow cooker.
- Pour the chocolate chips and candy melts over the top of the nuts.
- Turn the slow cooker on to LOW and cook for 30 minutes.
- Stir together and continue to cook till chocolate is completely melted. This should only take about 45 minutes.
- Line a mini muffin tin with baking cups.
- Place 1/2 a caramel in the bottom of each cup.
- Use a cookie scoop to spoon the warm chocolate nut mixture into each cup.
- Put the muffin tin into the freezer for 5-10 minutes to set up.
- Place nut cups in an airtight container to store.
