Two Florida prison escapees were arrested following a pursuit in Cleveland County, Thursday.
It began after authorities say Norman Police officers spotted a stolen vehicle heading northbound on Interstate 44, near Newcastle. When the officers attempted a traffic stop the suspects took off. Those men have been identified as 27-year-old Ronly Pardo and 39-year-old David Anderson.
The suspects led the officers to an apartment complex near I-240 and S. May Avenue, where they ditched the car and tried to escape on foot. Both men were taken into custody a short time later.
Investigators say the vehicle was reported stolen out of Washington County, Florida. Both Pardo and Anderson were wanted by the U.S. Marshals service, and authorities tell News 9 Pardo is accused of a deadly stabbing another inmate in June.
The U.S. Marshals Service is taking over the investigation.
