Students Briefly Evacuated From Moore School After Smoke Detected In Gym

Students at a metro school were evacuated briefly Friday due to smoke in the gymnasium, fire officials said. Firefighters said students were not in danger as crews looked for the source of a possible fire at Moore West Junior High School, located at 9400 S. Pennsylvania Ave. A fire department spokesman confirmed with News 9, "All children have been evacuated from all buildings at the school. They are not in any danger as firefighters check this out."
