Police in Norman are investigating a head-on crash that left two people dead.
It happened around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday on State Highway 9, near 60th Avenue SE.
According to the report, a truck driven by 59-year-old Steven Arms, of Oklahoma City, was heading eastbound on SH9 when it crossed left of center for an unknown reason and struck another vehicle driven by 78-year-old Marlene Sites, of Noble, that was heading westbound.
Both Arms and Sites were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police shut down one lane of traffic on both sides of SH 9 for five hours while crews cleared the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
