The two inmates who died Wednesday at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary have been identified by the corrections department.

Stanley Majors, 67, who was serving multiple sentences including life without parole for first-degree murder out of Tulsa County, and Bobby Bailey, 56, who was serving a life sentence out of Garvin County for shooting with intent to kill.

Majors was found dead in the maximum-security prison's medical infirmary just after midnight Wednesday.

Bailey was found dead in his cell after his cellmate, the only other person in the cell, notified prison staff.

Investigators think Bailey was assaulted and his cellmate, who has not been identified, is the suspect in the case, the state Department of Corrections reported.

Both deaths, which were unrelated, are under investigation.

The state medical examiner's office will determine the manners and causes of deaths.
