Police say two people were shot following an argument outside a Midwest City barbershop.
It happened Friday afternoon at Northeast 10th Street and Midwest Boulevard.
Several 911 calls alerted police to a disturbance at the busy shopping center.
“This is like a family area, everyone goes to Queens, everyone goes to the Barbershop,” said Midwest City resident Martin Zeigler.
Police said shots rang out after an argument inside the barbershop, spilled into the parking lot.
“My first thing was thinking about, okay, Lord don't let nothing happen to people,” said Zeigler.
Following the chaos, Zeigler said he saw police make an arrest.
“They had him sitting on the ground asking him questions,” said Zeigler.
Police found the man running from the scene.
“He looked like he was really disappointed, you could see he didn’t look like he was too happy,” said Zeigler.
Police said the victims, a man and a woman were hospitalized with gunshot wounds. And while a motive has not been determined, Zeigler said the shooting should have never happened.
“For something like this to happen in the area is kind of disappointing,” said Zeigler.
