Heavy rain moves into western Oklahoma Thursday night.
This system will spread into central Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma City metro, on Friday.
Downpours will continue through Saturday morning. The system should then shift to the southeast around midday Saturday leaving light rain and a few showers lingering.
The air mass in place is tropical in nature and will lead to very high rainfall rates and a high flooding threat.
Two to five inches of rain is possible in the Oklahoma City metro with higher totals to the south. Isolated totals of up to eight inches are possible.
A Flash Flood Watch will be in effect for much of the state from 7 a.m. Friday through 1 p.m. Saturday.
