A small earthquake was recorded Wednesday near Choctaw, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The 3.1-magnitude earthquake was reported about 5:24 a.m. Its epicenter was less than a mile east, southeast of Hibsaw; 16 miles north, northeast of Choctaw; almost 20 miles east of Edmond, and 27 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
The quake was just over three miles deep.
No immediate reports of damage or injury were reported.
