Authorities say a man has been arrested in connection to four recent killings in northern Nevada.
19-year-old Wilbur Ernesto Martinez-Guzman was arrested Saturday in Carson City related to burglary and possession of stolen property, but authorities say murder charges should be coming soon.
Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam says authorities are confident that evidence will link him to four homicides.
Authorities say 81-year-old Gerald David and 80-year-old Sharon David were found shot to death in their south Reno home last week.
Connie Koontz, 56, and Sophia Renken, 74, were found dead in their homes near Gardnerville earlier this month.
The sheriff did not say if Martinez-Guzman has an attorney. He's being held at the Carson City detention center.
Washoe County Sheriff's were called to Carson City Saturday night.
According to spokesman Bob Harmon the police activity may have something to do with the La Guardia murders in South Reno.
There was heavy law enforcement activity in the area of Woodside Drive and the Carson City Mall.
At the scene a car was roped off at the Carson Mall. The car was towed off with Washoe County Sheriff's following along.
At this time one person has been taken into custody. Investigators are not releasing why the person was taken into custody, but they do say there is no threat to the public.
