The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum receives recognition as a national historic place by the United States Department of Interior, Wednesday afternoon.
A National Register of Historic Places Plaque has been unveiled to the Memorial during a ceremony at the Museum Survivor Tree, as part of the 20th Anniversary Remembrance events.
The nomination went through the State Historic Preservation Office, which in 1995 was housed in the Journal Record Building and heavily damaged in the April 19, 1995 bombing.
