You might have to make multiple trips to see everything Scissortail Park has to offer.
Jacilyn Kennedy, Associate Director of Events for the park, said, “So the park’s motto is ‘For Everyone.’”
That motto was top of mind for the events team.
“We will have weekly programming that includes fitness activities like bootcamp and yoga. We’ll have children’s activities and story time,” said Kennedy.
With 36 acres in the upper portion of the park, there will be multiple events going on at one time. Private event rentals are also available.
Kennedy said, “We’ll have spaces available for weddings, birthday parties, community activities, corporate partnerships and things like that.”
There is also a boathouse and lake where you can rent boats. The children’s area will offer education programs for kids and a dog park divided into two sections depending on the size of your dog.
“In addition to all of our weekly programming, we’re going to have food trucks out both during the week and on the weekends. Most notably is our Friday lunches. So our downtown workers who want to come out and enjoy nature during their lunch break, we’ll have food options for them in the fall,” said Kennedy.
Then in the spring a roller rink will open.
She said, “We will be renting both rollerblades and roller skates in the spring. There will be different themed nights so you’ll be able to come in and hear different genres of music.”
And once the lower park opens, there will be even more to come for park visitors.
