Police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection to a shooting that killed one person and injured another, Monday afternoon in southwest Oklahoma City.
According to authorities, at 2:30 p.m., officers responded to a call in reference to a shooting that occurred after a verbal argument near South MacArthur Boulevard and Southwest 29th Street. When officers arrived, they discovered two victims, 24-year-old Randell Dukes III and 19-year-old Alandis Dukes.
Randell was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Dukes was taken to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. He is in stable condition.
Police located the suspect, identified as 18-year-old Gael Zamores as he was leaving the scene. Zamores has been booked into the Cleveland County Jail on complaints of murder in the first degree, robbery in the first degree and assault and battery with a deadly weapon, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
