On News 9 at 4, Sassy Mama shows Karl and Amanda how to make Hawaiian Ham:

3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped into large chunks

1 cup fresh cranberries

1/2 cup red onion, diced

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup cider vinegar

3 sprigs fresh thyme

1 teaspoon cloves

1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Zest of one orange as well as the juice

Place all of the ingredients in a medium size sauce pan over medium heat and cook for 15 minutes or until cranberries burst. Remove from the stove top and allow the chutney to cool. Store in an airtight container or in canning jars to give as a gift during holiday time.

***Serve with ham or turkey. Use as an appetizer by pouring the chutney over the top of a block of cream cheese. Serve with crackers***
