Oklahoma City Mall Security Guard Charged In Connection With Shooting
OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 32-year-old Oklahoma City mall security guard who opened fire on a couple of shoplifters in October has been charged.
Timothy Kiddoo has been charged with engaging in reckless conduct and carrying a weapon unlawfully.
Back in October, Kiddoo followed two women suspected of shoplifting at the Penn Square Mall into the parking lot.
Kiddoo told Oklahoma City Police one suspect tried to run him down so he fired two shots at the car as it drove off.
But a police investigation found Kiddoo fired at the car after it was no longer a threat. He also did not have an armed security guard license.
Kiddoo is a police officer for the VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City and worked part time at Dillard's as a security officer.
