CORDELL, Okla. -- People living in Oklahoma know how important an early warning during severe weather can be.
In Cordell, tornado sirens aren't always dependable. In fact, at least one is silent even during stormy weather.
One resident wants to see the problem fixed immediately.
"Please get them fixed," Cordell resident Debbie Brace said. "Our life is being endangered with them not working."
The fire chief said the replacement system is not in the budget. It'll cost around $15,000 to replace each siren. Parts have been ordered, however, to fix the existing broken siren.
