A statewide effort to fight human trafficking will take center stage Tuesday, June 10, as the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Office and TAT (formerly Truckers Against Trafficking) host a regional training event at Northeastern State University in Broken Arrow.

The event, called a Coalition Build, will bring together law enforcement agencies and leaders from the transportation, truck stop, bus and energy industries to coordinate strategies that close gaps traffickers often exploit. It includes prevention training, a law enforcement panel and a presentation from a trafficking survivor.

“Combating this evil requires a unified response across multiple sectors,” said Attorney General Gentner Drummond. “Our Human Trafficking Response Unit is committed to working with our partners in law enforcement and the transportation industry to identify victims and bring perpetrators to justice.”
