Description
A tasty treat that is easy to make, and is perfect for gifts.
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 3 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Cream: Cream the butter, brown sugar, and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined. Stir in the baking soda and salt. Gradually add the flour, mixing just until no streaks remain. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Chill: Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Preheat: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Divide: Divide the chilled dough 6 balls. Gently roll each ball into a long skinny snake about ½ inch in diameter. Cut dough into ½-inch pieces and place the pieces on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
- Bake: Bake for 5 to 6 minutes, just until the edges are set and the centers look slightly underdone. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Store in an airtight container or use a mason jar and give them as a gift!
