This savory puff pastry appetizer is perfect for a dinner party or breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1/4 C. thinly sliced red onion
- 3 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 C. chive and garlic cream cheese
- 4 to 6 slices of smoked salmon
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp. capers
- Fresh dill or parsley
- Lemon wedges
- Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Bake: Brush puff pastry with egg wash and bake in an oven at 425° for 15-20 minutes. Let cool.
- Assemble: Coat puff pastry with chive and garlic cream cheese, then place salmon, onion, capers, fresh dill, and lemon slices. Cut into squares and serve
