People in Tulsa near Pine and Harvard are cleaning up Tuesday after a storm knocked down several trees.
Security camera footage shows a tree uprooted by the storms and falling on Amy Hookey’s carport, crushing it.
"It was parked right here,” said Hookey. “I moved it under because I got the hail alert, and I got out and I got on the porch, and the rain started coming to the porch."
She’s glad the only damage her car saw was a few paint scratches from the carport.
"Be weather aware,” said Hookey. “I mean, if I didn't see that there was hail approaching, I wouldn't have moved my car, and it would have been right on my car. My car was right where the tree was."
Hookey says she got herself and her family to safety as soon as she could.
"The only thing I was thinking of was getting them to the laundry room because that's the centermost part of our house,” said Hookey. “You hear Travis say, get to a room with no windows in the center part of your house, and for us that's a 30 square foot laundry room."
Several of Hookey’s neighbors also have trees down in their yards and debris from the storm.
She’s glad the damage wasn’t worse.
"It's definitely this little neighborhood,” said Hookey. “We did see three other trees completely on top of houses this morning, and one even blocking the road. So that was crazy."
