Survivor Tree Legacy: Country music star Reba McEntire plants Survivor Tree seedling at Nashville home

Oklahoma native and country music star Reba McEntire planted a seedling from the Survivor Tree on Saturday at her home in Nashville.

The Survivor Tree, an American elm, was the only tree near the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that survived the Oklahoma City bombing.

McEntire planted the tree outside of her home in Tennessee.

“We planted this tree in honor of those 168 precious lives lost that day, and as a symbol of hope for the future,” Reba said.
