Driver in custody after crashing into parked car, damaging home in Moore

A man accused of crashing into a parked car in a driveway in Moore and fleeing the scene is now in custody, police say.

MOORE, Okla. -

A man accused of crashing into a parked car in a driveway in Moore and fleeing the scene is now in custody, police say.

Moore Police said a man was driving and crashed into the vehicle in a neighborhood on Parkwood Court just before 4 a.m. on Saturday.

Authorities said the parked vehicle that was struck was pushed into the front of the home, damaging it.

Officers said the suspect ran from the scene but he was captured a short time later.

It is unclear whether weather conditions or impairment played a role in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
