Oklahoma State quarterback Alan Bowman was named the Walter Camp National FBS Offensive Player of the Week by the Walter Camp Football Foundation on Tuesday.

In a 45-10 victory over Tulsa, Bowman threw for 396 yards, five touchdowns, and one interception, setting several records:

  1. His five touchdowns are tied for the most in the FBS this season.
  2. It’s the fourth most in a single game in Oklahoma State history.
  3. It’s the third most in an away game for the program, the most since Mason Rudolph’s five against Pittsburgh in 2017.
  4. Bowman’s five touchdowns are his most as a Cowboy and his first since 2020, when he also threw five while at Texas Tech.
  5. He had four touchdown passes in the first half, his highest since 2018.

This marks the ninth time a Cowboy has received the Walter Camp National Player of the Week honor since 2004, and the first since Ollie Gordon II’s performance on October 22, 2023.

The Cowboys will play their Big 12 opener against Utah on Saturday at 3 p.m. You can listen to the game on 1170 KOTV-AM
