Police said the initial investigation indicates that a truck traveling westbound on Rock Creek Road at a high rate of speed did not stop for the stop sign and collided with an SUV traveling on Northwest 60th Avenue. The SUV was occupied by four people: a 40-year-old female who died as a result of injuries from the crash, a 38-year-old male, now in critical condition, and a 13-year-old and 10-year-old who were taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the truck was identified as 22-year-old Brown, who fled the scene after the collision
Brown was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on complaints of first-degree manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident involving injury.
