Former Deer Creek Coach Resigns, After Baseball Incident Led To Case Filed With DHS

Deer Creek Public Schools removed Coach Roland Baza as head coach after the district was made aware of an incident involving his players.

The district has filed a case with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services after Baza was reportedly let go after allegedly making students drag their knuckles across hot turf.

According the the DHS case several students suffered burns from the incident.

A report from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office also shows at least 19 juveniles involved, but the coach does not have any criminal charges against him.
