Severe storms are making their way from the west and into Oklahoma.

We will have trackers out to monitor conditions.

What is the weather like on Thursday?

A strong cap may hamper storm development along the dryline in Western Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon and evening.

Although, if a storm does form, the ingredients are present for severe storms to develop. Severe storms in west/northwest Oklahoma tomorrow may produce all hazards.

On Friday, the risk for severe storms is moderate in the far west out along the dryline. Isolated supercells are possible, but not likely. If storms can break the cap and get going, all modes of severe weather would be possible.

This is what we are calling Wave 1. Wave 2 develops around 12 a.m. on Friday in the west and southwest. This will likely be a squall line of storms that will race across the state including the metro. These storms could also be severe with winds to 75 mph, golf ball size hail, and a low tornado risk.
