Just days after a tornado outbreak across the state, Oklahomans faced another evening of tornadoes, causing damage in multiple locations including the town of Cordell.

Alerts for Oklahoma counties:

  1. Tornado Warning for Jefferson and Stephens County until 11:45 p.m.
  2. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Garfield, Kay, and Noble County until 12:00 a.m.
  3. Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Carter and Murray County until 12:15 a.m.


Cordell Damage

Cordell, Okla., was hit by a tornado Tuesday evening.

News 9's Tom Pastrano was live at the scene and surveyed damage on the southside of Cordell.

The video shows damage to homes, mainly roof damage and debris.

A homeowner from Cordell spoke with Chief Meteorologist David Payne about her experience with the tornado and the damage left behind.

Cordell Schools shared that classes will be canceled on Wednesday.

The American Red Cross has opened a shelter for residents affected by a tornado in Cordell.
