Cheyenne Family Remembers Man Killed In Sunday's Tornado

An Oklahoma family mourns the loss of 62-year-old Billy Trammell who was killed in the tornado outbreak Sunday night.

Trammell’s home was hit by a 500-yard-wide tornado that touched down in the town of Cheyenne. It stayed on the ground for 7 miles.

Cheyenne Public Schools Superintendent, Robert Trammell, says Billy was his cousin.

“A man of the community for many years now and just a great guy,” says Trammell.

He describes his cousin as a man of few words who was an avid fisherman.

“Most of the people that have reached out to me let me know he was a good guy and we appreciate that,” he says.

Robert says Billy Trammell leaves behind a mother and a brother.

He added that no funeral arrangements have been made at this time.
