Edmond Community Honors Fallen Officer With CrossFit Workout

The Edmond CrossFit community came together Saturday to honor the life of Edmond Police Officer Sgt. C.J. Nelson.

CrossFit 822 welcomed family, friends, and Oklahoma City community members to workout in honor of Sgt. Nelson.

“He was the first one to try and help out everybody else out through the workout," says CrossFit 822 owner Jenae Judge.

Oklahoma City Police Officer William Reyes helped lead the special workout and shared memories their time as workout partners.

“He would ride in with his rifle bag, backpack and his SWAT uniform. I made fun of him, I said you know man, you have a trunk”, says SGT. Reyes.
