Scissortail Park Celebrates Its First Birthday This Weekend

Oklahoma City's Scissortail Park will celebrate its first birthday on Saturday.

They will celebrate with several events at the Love's Travel Stops Stage & Great Lawn and at the North Stage Plaza.

Events at the Love's Travel Stops Stage & Great Lawn:

1. Live mural painting from 2 to 8 p.m.
2. Game Zone opens at 2:30 p.m.
3. Tree planting ceremony at the southwest corner of the Great Lawn at 4 p.m.
4. Music on the Love's Travel Stops Stage at 4:15 p.m.
5. Birthday candle lighting and Happy Birthday sing-along at 8:45 p.m.

‪At the North Stage Plaza, several food trucks will be available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The park will add socially distanced heart-shaped seating areas across the Love's Travel Stops Great Lawn.

Park guests can bring blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the live music. Coolers are permitted, but glass containers are prohibited. Dogs on leashes are welcomed.
