Police said a juvenile boy was shot, early Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in northwest Oklahoma City.
According to authorities, the shooting happened at the North Village Apartments near West Hefner Road and North Western Avenue.
Police said the boy was inside one of the apartment units with several other people when the shooting happened.
The shooting was initially reported as a drive-by, but police have learned that the boy accidentally shot himself.
The victim is believed to be around 14-years-old, police said.
Witnesses said they helped treat the victim.
The victim was taken to the hospital and is stable, police said.
