(Ardmore-AP) -- A nine-foot long, 225 pound alligator found in a Marshall County farm pond now has a home at the G-W Exotic Animal Park near Wynnewood.

Two children playing near the farm pond found the alligator and told their father, who notified authorities.

Officials say the alligator may have been someone's pet years ago, or could have migrated from the Red River. State wildlife officials say at least 150 and perhaps as many as two-thousand alligators live along the river in southern Oklahoma.
