(Miami, Oklahoma-AP) -- A spokesman for Northeastern Oklahoma A-and-M College in Miami (MY-AM"-uh) says the three suspects in an assault on a student are suspended indefinitely.

Tim Ingram says two men and a woman are being investigated in the January 21st assault that left Tyler Warden hospitalized. The names of the suspects have not been released.

Ingram says the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the N-E-O Police Department are still interviewing witnesses who know both the victim and the suspects. He says investigators have determined that a hammer handle found near the victim was used in the attack.

Ingram says Warden has been transferred from a Joplin, Missouri, hospital to a hospital in Tulsa and is showing signs of improvement.
