State health workers believe chemicals are to blame for the skin irritation some Sapulpa children experienced earlier this week. The children developed what appeared to be rashes soon after playing at a city splash pad.
That splash pad is closed right now.
Poison Control workers say, based on the symptoms, they believe the children may have chlorine burns.
The health department says splash pads aren't inspected under state law.
Sapulpa hasn't said when the splash pad will reopen.
