LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man suffered critical burn injuries when an explosion shattered a Los Angeles home with seven occupants and leveled its garage, authorities said. Firefighters could smell gas in the air when they responded to the blast around 11 p.m. Sunday in a San Fernando Valley neighborhood, according to Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
