Skiatook police have four people in custody after a chase that ended at the Sapulpa exit of the Turner Turnpike. Authorities say two of those people - who were in a stolen car - were checked out at the hospital.
The people have been identified as Chad Wells, Shawna Burns, Nolan Tisdale and Ashley Sharpe.
Skiatook Police Chief James Dean says it all started before 3:15 a.m. when employees from the Skiatook Walmart called police because they thought a few people may have been stealing.
Skiatook police eventually tried to pull over the car with two women and two men inside, but they took off, and the chase was on.
Other agencies, like the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, got involved. The chase ended at the Highway 97 Sapulpa toll plaza where the car crashed.
They just towed the reportedly stolen car away and will go back to Skiatook Police Department to be processed for evidence.
Authorities say the vehicle had dealer tags on it.
