John Heard Passes Away

John Heard, best known for playing the father in "Home Alone" movie series, has died. 

His death was confirmed by the Santa Clara Medical Examiner's office in California earlier today. 

TMZ reported that Heard was found in Palo Alto where he was recovering from back surgery. 

He was 72.
