CHOCTAW, Okla. - A Choctaw High School senior was found dead Sunday morning at a friend's home.

Police said Hunter Buck's body was found by his friends.

"No one should ever have to bury their own child," Buck's aunt Angela Lashley said.

Lashley said her nephew was a healthy and active teen.

"The last few years he had really buffed up and was looking real good," Lashley said.

The teen suffered from no health-related complications and enjoyed sports like wrestling and boxing.

"Sunday morning, we got a call of a unresponsive male at a residence," Choctaw Police Chief Billy Carter said.

Carter said Buck spent Saturday night with his friends, who ultimately found the teen dead the following morning. They also realized Buck's truck was missing.

"I believe it was a 1984 Chevrolet pick-up," Carter said.

The missing truck was located Wednesday morning at Lake Stanley Draper in Oklahoma City, stripped and burned. Police said they've continued re-tracing Buck's actions Saturday night.

"Right now, we're concentrating mostly on his activities for the past 24 to 48 hours," Carter said.

The medical examiner said Buck's cause of death is pending. Toxicology tests have been ordered, but could take weeks to produce results.

The family, not knowing what happened to Buck, continues to try to stay positive.

"We just believe that God's got something," Lashley said. "God's in control and God's got something good to come out of this."

The Choctaw High School principal said counselors and members of area churches were on hand during the week to aid Buck's classmates.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Choctaw Road Baptist Church.
