It may only be October, but if you want to send a Christmas card to our service men and women serving overseas, it's time to start now.
The Red Cross is looking for volunteers to help make cards to drop in the mail. We caught up with them on Friday as firefighters and crews from the United Way were hard at work.
Red Cross officials say this has a big impact on our soldiers.
"It's really exciting to see that they realize that this is from the American public all over the United States, and it really does mean something to them," said Sami Clark with the Red Cross. "They feel a sense of accomplishment and a sense of pride."
