The last 10 days across Oklahoma have been just marvelous. Highs in the 60s and 70s, sunshine, and a hint of spring fever, but don't put those coats away just yet.
Our high temperature trend heading into the last few days of February will head back down to at or below normal. Think more 40s and 50s rather than 60s and 70s.
The trend starts today with highs only in the low to mid 50s (and the occasional lower 60-degree reading in southern Oklahoma) and northeast winds at 15 to 25 mph. The wind chill will keep things cold today.
Some good news in the midst of all the cold? Rain chances! Our first rain chances show up overnight Monday into Tuesday morning. A few thunderstorms are possible! More rain chances are showing up at the end of the work week.
And while it's not locked in by any means, keep your eyes on early March for another big time cold intrusion. Winter isn't finished yet!
