OKC Couple Charged With Child Neglect

An Oklahoma City couple was charged with child neglect against their three young children.

On March 1, 2014, Sonya Maria Harjo and Floreutino Cardiel were charged with committing child neglect against their seven, five and four year old children.

According to officials, Harjo and Floreutino failed to provide food, shelter, medical care and supervision, among other necessities to all three children. The report states the children were living in unsanitary conditions and without electricity.

Harjo was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on March 6, 2014 on two counts of child neglect, with bonds set at $10,000 each. More information on Cardiel's charges is not available at this time.
