For the second morning in a row, a suspect led Edmond Police on a high-speed chase through town. This time, police say the suspect was driving a car stolen from an apartment complex near 2nd and Bryant.

The pursuit Thursday morning started with an armed robbery at an apartment complex near the UCO campus. Edmond police finally caught up with the suspect 20 miles south in Oklahoma City

The victim had just parked his car in the parking lot of the Avana on Second Apartments, a little after midnight, when police say Victor Joseph greeted him with a gun.

“A man with a bandana over his face said to him immediately, ‘Give me your keys and your wallet,'” said Edmond Police spokesperson, Jenny Monroe.

Police say Joseph then took off in the Ford Fusion, but not before a cop spotted him headed toward I-35. Despite the officer's best effort, he lost sight of the car on a hill near Hefner Road and called off the pursuit

“He stayed following the suspect as long as he could,” said Monroe

Police say they spotted Joseph again near 33rd and Broadway and picked up the pursuit. Joseph was down to just rims while racing down the highway police say.

Police eventually nabbed him in Oklahoma City near NE 36 and Lincoln. They say inside the car not only was the stolen wallet, but also a stolen gun missing since 2012.

This chase comes on the heels of another one ironically taking place across the street 24 hours earlier.

“It is unusual for us to have two pursuits back to back,” said Monroe. “These two situations have kind of escalated to a level that they don't normally here in Edmond.”

Joseph remains in jail. He's facing a gun related charge and charges for possession of stolen property
