The Oklahoma City Thunder were major participants in a wild trade deadline day in the NBA.

The Thunder sent Reggie Jackson to Detroit in exchange for D.J. Augustin and Kyle Singler and also sent Kendrick Perkins to Utah in exchange for Enes Kanter and Steve Novak.

With the moves, the Thunder addressed a litany of needs and also appeased the disgruntled Jackson, who—through his agent according to reports—demanded a trade from the Thunder earlier this week. It was also reported that Jackson turned down a four-year, $48 million extension offer this summer.

The Thunder were rumored to be involved in trade talks with Brooklyn earlier on Thursday on a package deal that would have brought Brook Lopez to OKC and sent Jackson, Perkins and Perry Jones to Brooklyn. While Lopez may have been the better immediate option from a production standpoint, the Thunder's eventual haul is a much better move for the franchise this year and going forward.

Be sure to stay with News9.com as we break down the trade and take a look at how it impacts the Thunder's chances to make a move in the Western Conference this season. Updates to the trade will also be added as the information becomes available.
