An Altus restaurant was destroyed by a fire Saturday morning.
The fire started at about 10 a.m. when employees saw smoke coming from the hood vent in the kitchen at the Western Sizzlin, 3200 N Main St. At about the same time an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper saw fire in the back of the building and told employees to leave the building, according to reports from the Altus Times.
Owner Forrest Ray told the Times that employees will work at one of his other restaurants until the Western Sizzlin is rebuilt.
